Description (Japanese): つぼ植物（caudiciform）に分類されることがある、温室植物・多肉植物。銀色の毛を密生する葉とオレンジ色の筒状の花が特徴。開花期は春から夏。茎葉は冬には枯れ、春にシクラメンのような塊根から新しいシュートが発生する。
Description: A tender, tuberous deciduous houseplant which is borderline succulent, with compact stems and silvery-white, furry foliage. Large, tubular, fragrant orange-red flowers appear in early summer. It will lose it's leaves during the winter and re-grow in spring.
