Description (Japanese): [23]

Description: I have collected the seeds and seedlings from 4 prefectures in Japan and examined their habits and morphological characters by growing them together. I noticed that their leaf shape and the lobe serrations vary greatly and this species is unstable in character, so this will probably be very interesting species from horticultural standpoints. When young, the autumn foliage is yellow, and as it gets older, it becomes reddish and much more colorful and beautiful.[23]
