Description (Japanese): つる性のシダで、地下茎からつるを伸ばすが、つるに見えるのは１枚の葉であり、葉の主軸がつる、小葉が葉に見えている。つまり、１シーズンを通して１枚の葉が大きくなり続けるという特殊な形態をしている。小葉は胞子嚢をつけるものとつけないものがあり、形態が異なる。
