Description (Japanese): 北海道をのぞく、太平洋側の山地に自生が見られる。裂片は深裂から浅裂まである。裂片の周囲が波打つので鋸歯があるように見間違うことがある。時たま途中に一つ鋸歯がある木もある。葉裏面基部に短毛のみで無毛。

Description: This species grows wild in the mountains on the Pacific Ocean side, except Hokkaido. The leaves have from shallowly to deeply divided lobes. On the leaf edge, a waving as if serrated is seen, often mistaken for a serration. Sometimes, there is one tooth on the leaf margin. The leaves are hairless, except short hairs on the base of the underside.
