Comment ja: 和名はロビウィアとも書くが、LobiviaはBoliviaのアナグラムなので、国名をボリビアと書くならロビビアが適当。2000年代以降、広義のEchinopsisとして扱われていたが、2020年代前半にゲノムワイドの分析が進み、広義のEchinopsis内の系統が明らかになってきたため、Soehrensia, Trichocereusなどと共に復活していた。しかし、さらに解析が進み、2026年2月にはSoehrensia, Trichocereusと共に再びEchinopsisに含まれるようになった。
Trichocereus から別れたLeucostele は認められている。
