Racemes of large, showy flowers, in a range of bright colours, are borne at the tips of the pseudobulbs, above the foliage. They mostly produce a single, lance-shaped, leathery leaf, but may also bear 2 on each elongated pseudobulb, depending on the parentage of the hybrid. Often referred to colloquially as cattleyas.
hardiness_en: Frost tender.
