They have opposite, simple, oval leaves, and bear daisy-like, bright yellow, orange, or white flowerheads. Creeping zinnias provide colourful ground cover in an annual or herbaceous border, raised bed, or rock garden, or at the edge of a path. They are also suitable for a trough, or for containers on a patio. Modern cultivars are good for hanging baskets.
