The opposite leaves are pinnate or sometimes 3-pinnate, with ovate-oblong to rounded leaflets. Narrowly bell- to funnel-shaped, 5-lobed, yellow, orange, or red flowers are produced in dense, terminal racemes or panicles between winter and summer. In frost-prone areas, grow in a cool or temperate greenhouse or conservatory. In warmer climates, grow as specimen plants; the scrambling species may be trained over an arch.
