Distribution en: Malesia to New Zealand and SW. Pacific
Description en: Genus of 13 species of evergreen, coniferous trees with broad, flat leaves, from tropical areas without a dry season, from Malaysia and the Philippines to New Guinea, Australia (Queensland), Fiji, and New Zealand. The male cones are cylindrical, the females spherical. They are monoecious, but may be dioecious when young. In frost-prone areas, grow young plants for their foliage in a cool greenhouse or conservatory. In frost-free areas, grow as specimen trees.
