Description en: Genus of 7-1O species of deciduous shrubs and small trees found in woodland and scrub in the E. Himalayas, China, Taiwan, and Japan. They have alternate, simple, ovate to broadly ovate, toothed, pale to dark green leaves. Pendent racemes of 6-20 bell-shaped, fragrant yellow flowers are produced in spring, before the young leaves emerge. Grow in a woodland garden or shrub border.
