Description en: Genus of about 40 species of deciduous and evergreen shrubs from woodland and thickets in North and South America, cultivated mainly for their flowers and edible fruits. They have alternate, simple, entire or toothed leaves, and axillary racemes of urn- or bell-shaped flowers in spring. Excellent for a shrub border or open woodland.
