Description en: Genus of one species of tufted, mat- or cushion-forming, evergreen perennial, occurring in alpine and subalpine screes, rocks, and meadows in the mountains of C. and S. Europe. It has rosettes of small leaves, and is cultivated for its solitary flowers, produced in spring. Grow in a rock garden, scree bed, or alpine house.
