description_en: Genus of one species of evergreen shrub or tree found in scrub in the Andes from Colombia to Bolivia. It has spirally arranged, simple or occasionally lobed leaves, and produces cup-shaped flowers, each with 5 sepals and 5 petals, in small, axillary and terminal cymes. Where temperatures fall below 0°C (32°F), grow in a cool greenhouse. In warmer areas, use in a courtyard garden or border, or plant against a warm, sunny wall.
