description_en: Genus of 2 species of large, terrestrial, evergreen ferns found in open places in tropical and warm-temperate rainforest in South Africa, Australia, New Guinea, and New Zealand. Massive, erect, hairy rhizomes bear crowns of upright 2-pinnate, leathery fronds, with spores along the veins. In frost-prone climates, grow T. barbara in a temperate or warm greenhouse. In warmer areas, grow as a specimen plant or in light woodland.
