description_en: Genus of 12 species of wiry-stemmed, evergreen shrubs from dry forest and woodland; they occur in Australia, except for one species found in New Guinea. They have small, simple, aromatic, rigidly leathery leaves, arranged alternately or in spirals. Long, slender, tubular flowers, each with 5 reflexed or rolled-back lobes, are borne singly or in small groups from the upper leaf axils in summer. In frost-prone areas, grow in a cool greenhouse. In milder climates, grow in a shrub border.
