description_en: Genus of about 20 species of evergreen shrubs and small trees found in scrub and open woodland in Australia. The opposite, simple leaves have star-shaped hairs and are aromatic when bruised. The mainly pendent, tubular to bell-shaped flowers, with 4 spreading or reflexed lobes, are produced singly or in few-flowered clusters. In frost-prone climates, grow in a cool greenhouse or conservatory. In warmer areas, grow in a shrub border or courtyard garden, or at the base of a house wall.
