description_en: Genus of one species of mat-forming, stem-rooting perennial found in open sites on hillsides in the Caucasus Mountains and N.E. Iran. It produces whorls of narrowly elliptic leaves, and is cultivated for its abundant clusters of small, tubular-funnel-shaped, scented flowers, each with 5 spreading petal lobes, borne at the tips of the stems in summer. Grow as ground cover on a bank, in a rock garden, or at the front of a border.
