description_en: Genus of 45 species of evergreen trees and shrubs occurring in woodland or open, moist and dry habitats in Australia and New Zealand. They are grown for their foliage and flowers. The simple, alternate, often aromatic, light to dark green leaves are linear to rounded or oblong, sometimes cylindrical. Small, tubular, star- or bell-shaped, 4- or 5-petalled flowers are usually borne singly or in axillary and terminal, umbel-like clusters. Where temperatures regularly fall below 5°C (41°F), grow in a cool greenhouse. In milder climates, grow at the back of a border, or use as a barrier or hedge.
