Description en: Genus of 2 species of clump-forming perennials occurring in subalpine or damp meadows and woodland in S. Europe. They have short rhizomes with clustered, fleshy roots and linear, hairless, greyish green, basal leaves. They are cultivated for their loose racemes, borne on slender stems, of trumpet-shaped, 6-tepalled, fragrant flowers, which are excellent for cutting. Grow in a mixed or herbaceous border.
