Description en: Genus of about 300 species of woody-stemmed and herbaceous, deciduous or evergreen, twining or scandent climbers, allied to Eupatorium. They occur in tropical to warm-temperate regions worldwide in a broad range of habitats, from prairies and grassland to deciduous and tropical woodland. In warmer climates, grow in a woodland garden, use to clothe an arch or pergola, or allow to scramble through shrubs.
Hardiness en: Frost tender; M. scandens may survive short periods at 0°C (32°F).
Cultivation en:
Propagation en: Sow seed at 13-15°C (55-59°F) in spring. Insert softwood cuttings in late spring.
