description_en: Genus of one rare species of single-stemmed, dioecious palm found in wooded valleys in the Seychelles. It produces terminal clusters of fan-shaped leaves, and spikes of 3-petalled flowers between the lower leaves, followed by very large, coconut-like fruit. In frost-prone climates, grow in a warm greenhouse. In tropical climates, grow as a specimen plant.
