distribution_en:

description_en: Genus of approximately 30 species of annuals and creeping, tufted, or mat-forming perennials from subalpine grassland and rocky areas in Australasia and South America. They form low carpets of pinnatifid, pinnatisect, or pinnate, often aromatic leaves, and bear solitary, button-like flowerheads on short stalks from late spring to summer. Effective as low ground cover and tolerant of some treading, they are suitable for paving crevices or gravel gardens, but are mostly too invasive for a rock garden. L. atrata is suitable for a scree bed or alpine house.

hardiness_en: Fully hardy.
