description_en: Genus of about 14 species of evergreen, mostly epiphytic, rhizomatous orchids (often included within the genus Odontoglossum) occurring in humid forests at altitudes of 1,300-3,000m (4,300-10,000ft) in Mexico and Central and South America. They have broadly ovoid to oblong-ovoid, clustered pseudobulbs, each producing up to 3 linear, lance-shaped, ovate, or elliptic leaves. Flowers are produced in racemes from the bases of the pseudobulbs.
