Daisy-like, pink or reddish purple flowers are borne singly or in cymes of 2-5 in summer, followed by ovoid green capsules with rough, papillose seeds. In frost-prone areas, they are best grown in a bowl garden or a warm greenhouse. In frost-free climates, they are effective in a desert garden.
