description_en: Genus of one species of variable, evergreen tree from tropical woodland and more open areas in Africa. It has large, pinnate leaves, borne in opposite pairs, and loose, pendent panicles, 1-2m (3-6ft) long, of open, trumpet-shaped flowers, followed by long, woody pods. Where temperatures drop below 16°C (61°F), grow in a warm greenhouse, mainly for its foliage, although flowers may form on specimens reaching 3m (10ft) or more high. In tropical areas, it is an attractive specimen or shade tree.
