description_en: Genus of 10 species of epiphytic and terrestrial, scandent, evergreen shrubs from the rainforests of Central America to Peru. They are grown for their 5-lobed, tubular flowers, each with a bell-shaped, deeply ridged calyx, borne in short racemes or panicles. Leaves are alternate, simple, entire, and leathery. Where temperatures fall below about 13°C (55°F), grow in a warm or temperate greenhouse. In tropical or subtropical climates, use to clothe an arch or pillar, or train through a tree.
