Description en: Genus of about 20 species of summer-flowering annuals, biennials, and perennials with alternate, simple leaves and terminal, scabious-like heads of usually blue flowers. Most species grow in dry, open grassland in temperate Europe and around the Mediterranean. Grow in a rock garden, at the front of a border, or in a wildflower garden.
