description_en: Genus of one species of monoecious, single-stemmed palm from Mauritius and the Reunion Islands. Pinnate leaves are produced in a terminal head above a distinct crownshaft, and 3-petalled, cup-shaped flowers, arranged in groups of 3 (2 male and 1 female), develop in simple panicles between them. D. album is an effective specimen tree. In frost-prone areas, grow in a warm greenhouse.
