description_en: Genus of 3 species of deciduous or semi-evergreen trees and shrubs occurring in forest from Mexico to Paraguay. The palmate leaves, with 5-7 short-stalked leaflets, are borne in opposite pairs. Funnel-shaped, 5-lobed flowers are borne in showy, terminal panicles. In frost-prone areas, grow in a temperate or warm greenhouse. In warmer climates, grow as specimen or shade trees.
