description_en: Genus of 2 or 3 species of dense, cushion-forming, evergreen perennials, allied to Azorella, occurring in open, rocky areas of S. South America. They have tight rosettes of alternate, simple, very deeply 3-lobed leaves and umbels of insignificant, greenish white flowers. In the wild, they form large hummocks, to 60cm (24in) or more tall, by 1.2m (4ft) across, but seldom attain this size in cultivation. Grow as foliage plants in an alpine house, in a scree bed, or in tufa.
