Ovate, elliptic, or lance-shaped. aromatic leaves are borne in opposite pairs. Small flowers, with 4 petals and conspicuous stamens, are borne in cymes, umbels, or panicles. In frost-prone areas, grow in a temperate greenhouse; elsewhere, grow in a border.
