description_en: Genus of about 25 species of erect to spreading annuals and perennials found in woodland and dry, rocky areas, or on grassy slopes, from N. Africa to C. Asia. Simple or branching stems produce hairy leaves, 3-15cm (1 1/4-6in) long. Blue to purple or yellow to cream flowers are borne in short, coiled, usually terminal cymes. Ideal for a rock garden, a border, or a woodland glade.
