description_en: Genus of over 40 species of evergreen, tendril climbers from moist forest in tropical North and South America. They are grown for their terminal or axillary racemes of showy, foxglove-like flowers. The leaves are opposite and 2-to 5-pinnate. In frost-prone areas, grow in a temperate or warm greenhouse. In warmer areas, they are ideal for growing on a house wall, pergola, arbour, or tree.
