Description en: Genus of 2 species (often confused in cultivation) of trailing, deciduous or evergreen perennials found in montane habitats in E. Africa, the Himalayas to Sri Lanka, S.W. China, and S.E. Asia. They are grown for their clover-like leaves and bright blue, occasionally white, pea-like flowers. Grow in a rock garden or alpine house. P. africana is ideal in a hanging basket.
