Description en: Genus of over 500 species of evergreen, epiphytic, sometimes terrestrial orchids from tropical Asia, Malaysia to Papua New Guinea, Australia, Polynesia, and adjacent islands. They occur in varied habitats, including montane forest. Most have ellipsoid to narrowly cylindrical, pseudobulb-like stems producing 2 or more linear to narrowly elliptic, mid- to dark green leaves. Small, Dendrobium-like flowers are borne in terminal or axillary racemes.
