description_en: Hybrid genus of evergreen orchids, derived from crosses between Cochlioda, Odontoglossum, and Oncidium. Conical, flattened pseudobulbs grow from a rhizome, each pseudobulb producing 1 or 2 soft, linear to lance-shaped leaves at its apex. The inflorescences, either tall panicles with 100 or more flowers, or shorter panicles of larger flowers, are produced from the bases of the pseudo-bulbs. The rounded, sometimes star-shaped flowers are very variably coloured, often having conspicuous markings.
