Description en: Genus of 28 species of cormous perennials, closely related to Crocosmia, found mainly on grassy or stony hillsides in South Africa and Swaziland. They are grown for their slender spikes of funnel-or cup-shaped, colourful flowers. The 2-ranked leaves are usually linear to lance-shaped. Grow in a warm, sunny, mixed or herbaceous border. In frost-prone areas, grow half-hardy species in a cool greenhouse or conservatory.
