Description en: Genus of about 50 species of evergreen perennials and subshrubs, some scandent and trailing, from tropical woodland in Africa and Asia. The toothed leaves are alternate, simple, and pinnate or pinnatifid. The flowerheads, usually borne singly or in corymbs at the tips of the branches, lack ray-florets; they resemble groundsel (Senecio) flowerheads, but are larger and more colourful. Where temperatures fall below 13°C (55°F), grow as houseplants or in a temperate or warm greenhouse. Elsewhere, use in a shady, moist border.
