Description en: Genus of 9 species of deciduous trees and shrubs found in woodland in E. Africa, and E. and S.E. Asia, grown for their handsome foliage. The leaves are alternate, entire, or palmately lobed, and the petalless flowers are unisexual, with bell-shaped, yellow or yellow-green calyces, borne in terminal panicles or racemes. Grow in a woodland garden. In frost-prone areas, grow in containers and overwinter in a cool greenhouse.
