description_en: Bigeneric hybrid genus of one loose, spreading, evergreen shrub, derived from Fatsia and Hedera, grown mainly for its foliage. The leaves are palmately 5- or 7-lobed, dark, lustrous green, 10-24cm (4-10in) long. Umbel-like panicles of small, green-white flowers are borne in autumn. Tolerant of coastal exposure, atmospheric pollution, shade, and a wide range of soils, x F. lizei is suitable for a shrub border, a cool conservatory, or as a houseplant. It can also be trained against a wall or pillar.
