description_en: Trigeneric hybrid genus, a cross of Brassavola, Laelia, and Cattleya, consisting of several hundred evergreen, epiphytic orchids derived from Central and South American species. They have stout, club-shaped, sheathed pseudo-bulbs and 1 or 2 semi-rigid, oblong to oblong-lance-shaped, leathery leaves. Colourful, fragrant flowers are produced in short inflorescences arising from sheaths at the leaf bases. Brassolaeliocattleyas resemble brassocattleyas, with which they are often associated.
