Description en: Genus of about 200 species of mostly evergreen, epiphytic, monopodial orchids, found mainly in warm, humid regions at sea level or at low altitudes in Africa and Madagascar. They have semi-rigid, linear to oblong leaves, produced in 2 ranks, and bear white to green or yellowish green, spurred flowers, singly or in racemes from the leaf axils, at various times of the year.
