description_en: Genus of one species of single-stemmed palm from the warm-temperate coastal valleys of Chile. Spreading to arching, pinnate leaves form a dense, terminal, rounded head, and 3-petalled flowers appear in panicles between them. In areas prone to severe frost, grow as a houseplant, or in a cool greenhouse or conservatory. In warm, dry regions, grow as a majestic specimen or avenue palm.
