description_en: Genus of one species of very variable, slow-growing, deciduous, perennial succulent from desert or semi-desert areas of Mexico. Grey- or silver-barked branches bear pinnate, feathery leaves. Dense, terminal racemes ofÅ@tiny, cup-shaped flowers are produced by day in summer. Where temperatures drop below 15°C (59°F), grow in a warm greenhouse. In warmer climates, use in a desert garden.
