説明（英語）: Genus of 20-30 species of bushy, succulent, deciduous shrubs, similar to Cotyledon and at one time included in that genus. They are found in deserts and partially shaded areas of Namibia and South Africa. The linear to ovate, spoon-shaped, or almost cylindrical leaves are alternate or borne in crowded spirals. Mainly bell-shaped, upright to pendent flowers have calyces with club-shaped hairs, and are borne in complex, many-branched, panicle-like cymes. In warm, dry, winter-rainfall areas, they are summer-dormant, suitable for a border with other succulents. In areas where temperatures fall below 7°C (45°F), grow in a temperate greenhouse. The leaves of T. papillaris subsp. wallichii are highly toxic if ingested.
