Chamaecyparis nootkatensis x Cupressus lusitanica. Ch. nootkatensisは現在では広義のCupressus (Gymnosperm Database、当データベースはこちら）または単型のCallitropis (POWOはこちら) とされる。また、Cu. lusitanicaはCallitropisを認める場合はHesperocyparisになるので、x Cupressocyparis ovensiiは前者の場合はCupressus x ovensii、後者の場合はx Hesperotropis ovensiiが正名となる。
